KMV has introduced most progressive initiatives in sync with New Education Policy: Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi
Jalandhar December 5 (Neetu Kapoor)- Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV was invited by UGC to participate in UGC organised National Conference of Autonomous Colleges on “Implementation of NEP 2020” at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidalaya, Indore. The Conference which was organised by NEP Co-ordination & Implementation Bureau, UGC had its thrust on the implementation of NEP in higher education institutions.
Chairperson of UGC Dr. Jagdish Kumar addressed the Principals of select Autonomous colleges and gave valuable inputs regarding developing leadership for the new initiatives in higher education. Addressing heads of autonomous colleges, Dr. Jagdish Kumar shared the national vision for a developed nation to be achieved by the high quality institutions.
The contribution of Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi was prominent during the group discussion on Implementation of NEP in Higher Education institutions. During the group discussion, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar emerged as an exemplary institution which has been able to implement various initiatives in sync with New Education Policy in order to prepare global citizens through progressive & quality higher education.

Successful implementation of 4 Year Hons. Programs & 5 Year Integrated Programs, upgraded syllabi catering to the new demands of socio-economic scenario, inclusion of practical & skill enhancing components, industrial training, credit system & internships have resulted in outstanding national and international placements of KMV students at very high pay packages.
Moreover, Value- added programs running at KMV for more than a decade include- Foundation Program for new entrants to bridge the gap between school & higher education, Personality Development Program, Moral Education, Gender Sensitisation Program & Job Readiness Programs strive for the holistic development of the students. Inviting foreign native faculty to teach international languages like French, Spoken English, Spanish et al has been a regular feature at KMV for more than 12 years.
